This poster features three photographs by Davis Bates placed into polaroids which have been edited to appear burnt and torn. Bates is a photographer who primarily works with queer subjects and shares his work on Instagram. The app has taken down many of his photos and shadowbanned his account, due to the fact that they go against their “community guidelines.” This piece attempts to address the everpresent history of gay erasure, particularly in the media.
